Publisher Linda Sedrick Pearson of PS Publishing (located in Fisk, MO) has unearthed a new treasure in Puxico, Missouri.  The treasure is a new author of children’s books, Betty Buttry.

 Betty’s new book, The Water Pot, was unveiled today at Country Blessings in Puxico. The book is a Christian children’s book and the story is from the point of view of a yellow water pot.

 As Yellow Water Pot discusses the exciting event of an upcoming wedding with five friends (who are also water pots), they find that they are invited to attend! Jesus calls for them specifically to help perform his first miracle – turning water into wine!

 Betty Buttry, the author, started writing for her children and grandchildren. Betty lives in Puxico and has many more stories to tell. She is excited to be able to share her children’s stories with her young readers.

 Betty’s granddaughter, Shannon Buttry Alsup, illustrated The Water Pot while still a young girl in school. Shannon thinks it is wonderful to be able to share this experience with her grandmother.
